We’ll meet at a location that feels right for you, either outdoors somewhere you love or in the comfort of your home. If we’re outside, we’ll take a relaxed walk and let the children explore, play, and lead the way. At home, I’ll gently work with the natural light and familiar spaces to create calm, intimate images.

I’ll offer light guidance throughout, but nothing forced. The focus is on letting you be together, so the moments we capture feel natural, unguarded, and true to your family.

Absolutely. Almost everyone I photograph feels a little shy at first, and that’s completely normal. We’ll take a little time to settle in and get comfortable together, and before you know it, the focus shifts away from the camera.

Most of the session is simply about being with your loved ones. I’ll gently guide when needed, but the moments that matter unfold naturally, and that’s what you’ll see reflected in your final images.

Children are wonderfully unpredictable, and that’s exactly as it should be. There’s no expectation for them to perform or behave in a certain way. We’ll take things at their pace, follow their lead, and allow the session to unfold naturally.

Whether they’re full of energy or feeling a little shy, I’ll capture them just as they are in that moment. You’re very welcome to bring a small snack if it helps everyone relax, and together we’ll create a gentle, easy environment where their true personalities can shine.

The location is completely up to you. We can photograph your family at home, or somewhere meaningful to you outdoors. As a family photographer based in Kent, I know lots of beautiful spots and I’m always happy to suggest locations if you’d like a little inspiration.

Wherever we choose, the aim is the same. A setting that feels comfortable, natural, and allows your family to simply be together.

If you’re unsure where to start, try choosing one person to build around, whether that’s you or the littlest one. From there, think about complementary tones and gentle textures rather than perfectly matching outfits.

I’ll share more detailed guidance in my style guide ahead of your session, and you’re always welcome to ask for help. The goal is clothing that feels comfortable, natural, and true to your family.

The UK weather can be unpredictable, but there’s no need to worry. If it’s pouring with rain, we can absolutely reschedule. If it’s just a light drizzle and you’re happy to embrace it, we can still go ahead.

Overcast skies often create the most beautiful, soft light, and some of the loveliest family photographs are taken on those quieter, moody days here in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

To secure your session date, a signed contract and deposit are required. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before your session.

Payment can be made securely by credit or debit card, with bank transfer also available if you prefer.
